Higglety headed to the farm. The pond was frozen over and all the animals were having fun skating the ducks were landing on the pond and their legs wings were all over the place. The ducks quacked with delight. The animals were skidding across the pond on their bellies with their front and back legs flat on the ice while barking or whinnying with excitement.
Suddenly the farmers golden retriever called Roxy fell through the ice and disappeared. Higglety Pigglety grabbed a piece of rope and bravely went out on the ice and offered the rope to Roxy who bit it with her teeth. The farmer came out to see what the commotion was and pulled the rope with Roxy on the end to land.
Higglety went home just before the children woke up. To this day the children wondered why there was a big patch of water on the carpet, they could never have imagined the damp patch was snow brought in by Higglety Pigglety!!!
